Mr. Akash Kumar Chauhan - Chairman
In 2022, Mr. Akash Kumar Chauhan lead the foundation of the
company. A Gold Medalist from College of Engineering Pune. A Visionary, A Leader, and a
Determined Individual. Mr. Akash Kumar Chauhan is the Guiding force for the
organization. He is Recipient of life achievement award from the association of
consulting civil engineers and civil engineer of the year 2016 by institute of engineer
India.
Ms. Sonia Aggarwal- MANAGING DIRECTOR
Ms. Sonia Aggarwal association with Bharat Services Group begin
in 2020. Under her leadership company has consolidated its position amongst the leading
highway developers in the country. She has spearheaded the company’s diversification in
Power (EPC) projects. She has been honored with various awards and recognitions including
the ‘Industry Doyen’ award by Construction Industry Development Council.
Mr. Vivek Gupta- DIRECTOR & CEO PROJECTS
Mr. Vivek Gupta heads the execution of projects from their
design stage to final commencement. He also holds office as Director – Quality Management
System. He has honored with the ‘Engineer of the Year – 2017’ title by Federation of
Engineering Institutions Asia Pacific region and ‘CEO of the year 2019’ title by
‘Construction Times’.
Ms. Aditi Sharma- Executive Director
Ms. Aditi Sharma is a Chartered Accountant by profession and
has an experience of more than 4 decades in managing chemicals, steel wires, foundry,
railway wagons, sugar, tyres and real estate. Her key areas of expertise include finance,
marketing, procurement, negotiations and general management.
Mr. Amit Verma- NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mr. Amit Verma is MBA with Civil Engineering background. He
possesses an experience of more than 8 years. He has been involved in the successful
completion of various Road Projects of Bharat Services. He is also a Managing Director of
Bharat Services (BESS), Subsidiary of the Company, and involved in effectively
implementation of projects of awarded to BESS.
Ms. Rashmi Arora- Independent Director
Ms. Rashmi Arora has completed his Masters Laws degree from
Mumbai University. She is a Solicitor and advocate by profession and is the founding partner
of ANS Law Associates. He is also a registered Patent and Trade Marks Attorney. He expertise
in various branches of laws including corporate laws, securities laws, project finance,
telecom regulations, constitutional litigation and international commercial arbitrations.
Mr. Manoj Mishra- Independent Director
Mr. Manoj Mishra holds a Masters’ Degree in Commerce and is a
Certificated Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He is a well-regarded Banker
having worked in various Public Sector Banks for over 13 years. Important Placements during
his career as a Banker are, Canara Bank – General Manager: Risk Management Dept. HO, Circle
Office, Mumbai, Corporate Credit Dept., HO and Circle Office, Delhi. Positions Held: Member
of several Top Executive Committees, Secretary to the Board of Directors at Canara Bank. He
took charge as the Executive Director of Central Bank of India on June 6, 2015 up to August
1, 2016. His last appointment was as Chairman and Managing Director of Vijaya Bank from
August 02, 2016 till March 31, 2020 up to superannuation.
Mr. Gaurav Shah- Independent Director
Mr. Gaurav Shah is a Commerce Graduate and a Chartered
Accountant. He has completed Advanced Management Program from IIM, Kolkata. He has a 16
years longstanding and illustrious career in leading the Marketing and Finance division of
Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited. He has headed and
guided organizational strategy as a chairperson or as a Board Member in Nine Indian and
overseas companies. He has managed large and complex retail and distribution networks for
Indian Oil Corporation Limited across the length and breadth of the Country.
Ms. Anjali Mehta- Independent Director
Ms. Anjali Mehta a Commerce Graduate from University of Jodhpur
and Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She is qualified DISA
(of ICAI) in the year 2011 and a qualified Limited Insolvency Professional with IBBI. She is
Managing Partner of Mittal & Associates, Chartered Accountants Firm, Mumbai.
Ms. Palak Hiran- Independent Director
Ms. Palak Hiran is an MBA – Finance from San Francisco State
University, USA. She has around sixteen years of experience in the field of Risk Management
and Internal Audit. She specializes in the areas of internal controls, third party risk
management, information security, quality audits and IT Assurance. She is currently working
with NetApp India Inc. as Director – Internal Audit and Global Head of SOX Compliance.
Earlier, she has worked with M/s Ernst & Young LLP, Bangalore and M/s Price Water house
Coopers, San Francisco.
Mr. Rama Krishna Tripathi- Independent Director
Mr. Rama Krishna Tripathi is a Civil Engineer from Government
Engineering College, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Since passing out in 2009, he has worked in
major Infrastructure companies like Gammon India, Larsen & Toubro Limited and Oriental
Structural Engineers Private Limited. He has over three decades of experience in the field
of project planning and execution of large size infrastructure projects involving roads and
airports. His technical, strategic decisions and leadership skills coupled with his sound
financial and business sense has helped him in securing and successfully implementing many
projects in Public Private Partnership model. He joined BESS Projects (India) Ltd. in 2021.
Mr. Surendra Modi- Non-Executive Director
Mr. Surendra Modi has a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, U.S.A. and a Bachelor's degree in Civil
Engineering from M.S. University of Baroda. He has over 16 years of experience in the field
of management and execution of construction of Industrial structures and factory buildings.
Mr. Modi was responsible for successful execution of all projects undertaken by BESSL. Mr.
Modi has extensive experience in the design and construction management of various Civil
Engineering projects. He has worked with many private and government agencies on small and
large projects both in India and in the United States.
Ms. Priyanka Seth- Independent Director
Ms. Priyanka Seth has over 15 years of experience in advising
top banks, financial institutions and corporates on a range of matters including M&A, PE
Investments, industrial and employee relations, corporate governance, real estate
negotiation, legal matters, statutory issues and litigations. She has been associated in
various positions with International Finance Corporation, ANZ Grindlays Bank, Standard
Chartered Bank, Emmar Properties (UAE) and Swadhar Finserve Limited. She holds bachelor's
degree in Law.
Mr. Amit Uplenchwar- Non-Executive Director
Mr. Amit Uplenchwar has done his Bachelor of Engineering in
Mechanical from Nagpur University and Master of Business Administration in Finance and IT
from Maastricht University. Mr. Uplenchwar has rich and varied experience in Corporate
Strategy, Operations, Business Development, Mergers and Acquisitions with serving sectors of
Transportation, Power, Water, Oil & Gas, Aerospace & Defense and Logistics. During his
professional career, he has worked with organizations like Hindustan Construction Company
(HCC), Adani Ports and SEZ, Dodsal Engineering and Construction, Arthur Andersen and Sea
King Infrastructure Limited. Presently, he is associated with Bharat Services as Director –
Group Strategy & Subsidiaries Operations.
Mr. Manish Mohnot- Non-Executive Director
Mr. Manish Mohnot is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a
Cost Accountant. He has also done an advanced management program from Harvard University,
U.S.A. He has more than two decades of experience in areas related to power, oil & gas,
infrastructure, consulting, banking and business development. He has also been associated
with reputed multinational banks and consulting firms. He serves as "Managing Director &
CEO" of BESS's parent Company Bharat Services.
Mr. Punit Aggarwal- Independent Director
Mr. Punit Aggarwal, aged 55 years, a qualified Engineer, is
part of senior management team of Bajaj Infra Group since 2013 and is involved in taking a
number of strategic decisions. Mr. Punit Aggarwal was previously served as an Executive
Director on the Board of Bharat Services. With rich experience of over 24 years, Mr. Punit
Aggarwal has created and led billion-dollar businesses. As a visionary, strategist and team
builder he has driven profitable growth through innovation and operational excellence.
Mr. Hari Shankar Gupta - Independent Director
Mr. Hari Shankar Gupta was the Chairman and Managing Director
of India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL), a wholly owned company of the
Government of India, engaged in promotion and development of infrastructure till April 2010.
Under his leadership, IIFCL commenced its operations and carved a niche for itself in
financing infrastructure projects. The support of IIFCL helped in speedier achievement of
financial closure of infrastructure projects in sectors like highways, airports, seaports,
power, etc. IIFCL was conferred with the "Most Admired Infrastructure Financier 2010" by
KPMG Infrastructure Today. Mr. Hari Shankar Gupta has long experience as a banker, spanning
over 30 years having held positions of Chairman and Managing Director of Punjab and Sind
Bank, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Punjab National Bank (PNB). PNB
is one of the largest public sector banks in India. During his chairmanship of PNB, he
undertook total transformation of the Bank.
Mrs. Neera Saggi - Independent Director
Mrs. Neera Saggi holds an MBA degree from International Centre
of Public Enterprise, Ljubljana in Slovenia and a Master’s Degree in English Literature from
Delhi University. She joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1980. For 34 years she
worked with multiple sectors and with different stakeholders including Government, Private,
NGO, Multilateral Agencies, Chamber of Business and Commerce. She was the First Women
President elected for the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mrs. Neera Saggi was also
the Chief Executive Officer for Larsen & Toubro, Seawoods Pvt Ltd. Besides other assignments
undertaken, Mrs. Saggi was the Secretary to the Governor of West Bengal, the District
Magistrate of Hooghly in West Bengal, Dy. Chairperson of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust
(JNPT), CMD of Hindustan Diamond Corporation and Development Commissioner of Special
Economic Zones.
Mr. Sanjay Bhandarkar - Independent Director
Sanjay Bhandarkar has over three decades of corporate finance,
advisory and investment banking experience in the country. He is an independent
non-executive director on the boards of three listed companies Tata Power Company Limited, S
Chand & Company Limited and HDFC Asset Management Company Limited since late 2016 as and on
the board of the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited as a shareholder
nominee.
Sanjay started his career with ICICI in 1990 and IPsec, the joint venture between ICICI and
JP Morgan, and then spent two years with Peregrine Capital. He was part of the founding team
of Rothschild India in 1998 and played a key role in establishing Rothschild as a
well-recognized and respected pure play advisory investment banking firm in India. He led
the Rothschild India business from December 2005 to June 2016 when he stepped down from his
full-time role.
Shri K Ravikumar- Independent Director
Shri K Ravikumar joined the Board of the Company on August 14,
2021 as an independent director.
Shri Ravikumar is the former Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Heavy
Electricals Limited (BHEL), the USD 7 billion organization that ranks among the leading
companies of the world engaged in the field of power plant equipment. As CMD, he was
responsible for maximizing market-share and establishing BHEL as a total solution provider
in the power sector. The Company was ranked 9th in terms of market capitalization in India
during his tenure at BHEL. He had handled a variety of assignments during his long career
spanning over 26 years. His areas of expertise are design and engineering, construction and
project management of thermal, hydro, nuclear, gas-based power plants and marketing of power
projects.
Shri Ravikumar had also forged a number of strategic tie-ups for BHEL with leading Indian
utilities and corporate like NTPC Limited, Tamil Nādu State Electricity Board, Nuclear Power
Corporation of India Limited, Spell Conductors Limited, Heavy Engineering Corporation
Limited to leverage equipment sales and develop alternate sources for equipment needed for
the country. He had guided BHEL's technology strategy to maintain the technology edge in the
marketplace with a judicious mix of internal development of technologies with selective
external co-operation. He had focused on meeting the customer expectation and has
strengthened BHEL's image as a total solution provider.
He possesses M.Tech Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology. Chennai besides
Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. He was conferred Alumini Awards from the
Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and the National Institute of Information
Technology, Trichy and is at present the Chairman of BOG National Institute of Information
Technology, Mizoram. He has published a number of research papers in the fields of power and
electronics.
Ms. Palak Arora
Ms. Palak Arora, 45 years, holds a master's degree in Chemistry
and a diploma in Business Administration. She has more than 15 years of experience in
taxation, finance, administration and vigilance. She was in the Indian Revenue Service batch
of 2010. She held various assignments during her tenure in the tax department and was also a
member of the Central Board of Direct Taxes. She has also served as the Functional Director
(Vigilance and Security) in Air India and has also represented India in international
conferences.
Ms. Chhaya Virani
Ms. Chhaya Virani graduated from Mumbai University with a
bachelors’ degree in Arts. She also acquired a bachelors’ degree in legislative laws from
the Government Law College in 2009. She is a partner in M/s. ALMT Legal Advocates and
Solicitors.
